Testing and tagging isn't the most exciting part of running a workplace, but it's one of the simplest ways to protect your team, meet your WHS obligations, and prove it if you're ever audited. Barcam Electrical provides scheduled testing and tagging for commercial, industrial and construction sites across the Mackay region — thorough, well-documented, and delivered without holding up your operation.

What we do
Our licensed team carries out testing and tagging in line with AS/NZS 3760. We visually inspect and electrically test each item — power tools, extension leads, portable appliances, portable RCDs and fixed equipment where applicable — attach a durable tag with the test date, tester ID and next test date, and provide you with a register you can hand to auditors, insurers or head contractors.
Where an item fails, we tag it out of service on the spot, let you know straight away, and offer a repair-or-replace recommendation so you're not left short-handed.

A "competent person" can carry it out, but many businesses outsource to keep it independent, consistent and properly documented. It also frees your team up to do their actual job.
-
We tag them out of service, note them in your register, and give you a clear recommendation on whether to repair or replace.
