Work with Us
We’re a tight-knit team, and we like it that way. If you’re a Mackay local (or thinking of becoming one) and you want to be part of a long-running, family-owned business that genuinely looks after its team we’d love to hear from you.
Why work at Barcam
Not only are we one of the largest electrical businesses in Mackay, we work hard to support an excellent working environment and culture that makes coming to work a pleasure. Our staff stay with us. Some have been a part of the Barcam family for over 30 years.
Here’s what that means for you:
A stable, family-run workplace with strong local roots
Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle
Ongoing training and development for every role
A genuine team culture
Variety of work across domestic, commercial and industrial projects
A workplace that takes safety seriously
Apprenticeships
We employ multiple apprentices each year and back them all the way through their qualification. If you’re finishing school or making a change and you want a trade that will set you up for life, an apprenticeship at Barcam is a great place to start.
We provide hands-on experience across the full range of electrical work — domestic, commercial and industrial — alongside mentorship from some of the most experienced sparkies in Mackay.
